Palmer House Hilton Chicago Heart Ball

We’re always pleased when the Peter Hennes Orchestra is asked to help with the fund raising efforts of charitable organizations, and we were thrilled to play at the Palmer House Hilton on 4/18/09 for the American Heart Association’s Chicago Heart Ball. After a two and a half hour dinner and a program including videos, speeches, and a live auction, the guests were ready to party, and we rocked the house with a packed dance floor until midnight! It was a truly fantastic evening supporting a great cause, and we were honored to have been chosen to be a part of it!

The Peter Hennes Orchestra has some of the most talented musicians and singers in the Chicago area, and when they’re not playing with the band, some of them are working on their original music. I just wanted to take a moment to recommend some fantastic albums done by our band members. Give yourself a listening treat and check out Frank’s band The Renegades, and Barbara’s album. I feel truly fortunate to have such great players, singers and composers in our band!

New Year’s Eve 2007 at the Horseshoe Casino

What an incredible New Year’s Eve we had! The Peter Hennes Orchestra was the main attraction for an invitation only celebration at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, IN, playing for a crowd of 4,000! In other areas of the Casino, the performers included Second City, the Bobby Lewis Jazz Band, Larry Taylor Blues and Soul Band, and the Impalas. We had a rockin’ good time entertaining an enthusiastic crowd bringing in the New Year with non-stop dancing. The band even managed to do a little gambling on our breaks!
