Brookfield Zoo Wedding 7/17/10

Even though we were outside for four hours without a break in ninety degree heat at our wedding at the Brookfield Zoo on 7/17/10, we managed to have a rockin’ good time! The mother of the groom commented:

“I am speechless……literally (I lost my voice from a long night of screaming!). You guys blew everyone away. Not only are you all amazing musicians, but your joy and enthusiasm was palpable and infectious. Please, please add us to your list of references so we can gush to everyone.

Not sure if anyone expressed this in the chaos of the evening, but bride, groom, and both families thank you with all our hearts for helping to make an already magical evening even more amazing. We’ll be talking about it for a long, long time. You rock!”

Chicago History Museum Wedding 6/12/10

We played a fantastic wedding at the Chicago History Museum on 6/12! Here’s what the mother of the bride had to say:

“Peter, You and your band were…fantastic! My daughter’s wish for her wedding was that people would get up and dance and have a great time. They certainly did that! Your choice of music was perfect for the entire
group – from 14 year olds to 82 year olds. You kept everyone up and dancing and certainly set the mood for the entire reception.Your vocalists and musicians were outstanding! We can’t thank you enough. It was very difficult planning a wedding long distance but everything worked out beautifully. I know Emily and Jeff are going to write to you when they get back from their honeymoon. They had a great wedding. Thank you!” – Susan Swan

Swissotel Chicago Party 8/8/09

We played a really fun 38th Anniversary party at the Swissotel in downtown Chicago on 8/8/09. Never heard of a 38th Anniversary party? In their speech at the beginning of the evening, the anniversary couple said that they had been looking for an excuse to have a party with the Peter Hennes Orchestra ever since we played their daughter’s wedding three years ago. All I can say is, it’s great to have dedicated fans!

We got a request for the Rolling Stones, and we aim to please! Greg and Peter do their best Mick and Keith impressions on Start Me Up with backup vocals by our incomparable Shawn Christopher. This was recorded with just the camera audio.
